MISSIONS

We support various missionaries around the world, as well as new church plants and other ministries in the United States.  This is done through prayer, finances and short term mission trips. The following is a list of the missions we are currently supporting:

Christ's Church of the Souther Tier (The Binghamton Project) - This is a cross-cultural church plant in Binghamton, New York

Richland Christian Church - This is a new church plant in Richland, New York, which will serve the villages of Richland and Pulaski. This is a church that is sponsored by the Empire State Evangelizing Association.

Mountainview Christian Camp - This is a summer camp shared by several churches in upstate New York. It is located near Dansville NY and is used for camp ministry to children, teen-agers and adults each summer.

Strategic World Evangelism (SWE) - SWE is a ministry led by Leonard Thompson in Madras, India. SWE reaches out with the Gospel to the citizens of India. Through a radio broadcast from Sri Lanka, SWE also brings the Gospel and Bible correspondence courses to Southeast Asia and the Middle East.

Training Christians for Ministry (TCM) - TCM is a ministry that trains and equips Eastern Europeans to becomes pastors and plant churches in their home countries. This training is provided at TCM's Bible training center at Haus Eidelweiss in a village outside of Vienna, Austria.

Team Expansion - This ministry trains and equips missionaries for service in all parts of the world. Team Expansion helps put together missionary teams for service abroad and also assists missionaries with fund-raising, forwarding agents etc.

International Disaster Emergency Services (IDES) - IDES is a ministry that provides humanitarian relief for disasters and economic hardships anywhere in the world being the hands and feet of Jesus.

Yawla Khamchareon - Yawla is an indigenous missionary supported by NSCC who ministers in northern Thailand. Yawla's ministry encompasses evangelistic outreaches to isolated villages all over southeast Asia, some of which have never received the Gospel before. He also runs a Bible training center for young believers, many of whom have not received a formal education. Yawla is training these young people to be pastors and evangelists to reach the lost in Asia.

Somewhere in Europe Ministries - This ministry performs church planting and evangelism in Poland through missionaries Nick and Christal Haner (Christal is one of our own). They have presently returned to the United States and are now planting a new church in the Denver, Colorado area focusing on the 'house church' concept that is readily accepted in this area of the country.

Johnson Bible College - This college is attended by several of our youth and has an excellent program for training Christians for domestic or foreign mission work.

Tim and Erin MacSaveney - Pioneer Bible Translators.  Tim, one of our own, and his wife Erin have been preparing for years to be Bible Translators.  They have dedicated their lives to this endeavor and will be leaving for Tanaznia, Africa in the summer of 2010 for a life commited to bringing the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ to a people with a language yet unwritten.

In addition to these missions, we also provide funding for members of the congregation who are called by the Lord to serve abroad. Our members have served abroad for periods ranging from a few weeks to several years.

We take an annual summer mission trip to Ukraine to help the churches in developing Christian Camping programs for their children and teens. If you are interested in this short term mission trip, please contact Pastor Monte Smith.
